A commentary and resource on Law and Sexuality by Professor Chris Ashford and guests
Please find below details of a super-cool forthcoming event organised by one of my PhD students together with a magnificent young talent from Sunderland Uni. It’s an interdisciplinary event so if you’re a PhD student engaged in sexuality work (especially in the NE of England), submit an abstract and come along. I’m really looking forward to hearing lots of exciting and dynamic new ideas and voices.
Sex(y) Seminar Series
Northumbria University and the University of Sunderland are hosting two seminars aimed at 1st and 2nd year PhD students carrying out research related to studies into sex and sexuality!
The aim of the seminar is to provide PhD students with a friendly and fun platform to present at on their research.
Presentations will be 15 minutes long followed by a Q&A. Presentations can be on any parts of your project, including but not restricted to: a general introduction, methodology or a preliminary analysis of results.
This is a great opportunity for students studying in the field of sexualities to come together and network. There will also be ‘experts in the field of sexualities’ in the audience who you will be able to speak to and who can provide feedback on your projects during the Q&A.
Details of the first seminar are as follows:

Venue: Northumbria Law School, Newcastle upon Tyne
Time: 13:00 – 17:00
