A commentary and resource on Law and Sexuality by Professor Chris Ashford and guests
The North East has seen the launch of a new organisation tackling HIV stigma and providing an important social and support network. tHrIVe NE describe themselves as a social and support community group for people living with HIV, and those affected by it, in the North East of England. You can check out their Facebook page here and follow them on Twitter.
Starting from December 2015, they will meet monthly at the Tyneside Cinema on the first Monday of every month. They have access to a great room with sofas, a projector and tea and coffee for those who come along. They also offer a weekend event once a month such as a trip.
Like any organisation of this sort, they need not only our support, but also our cash. They’re organising a fund raising event on 29 November at Secrets Bar, Scotswood Road, starting at 8pm. They will have a raffle on the night with great prizes, including concert tickets, cinema vouchers, and jewellery. They also have live drag acts and cheap drinks, so please go along on the evening if you can. You can let them know you’re going on their Facebook events page.
Please also promote the event to your contacts, friends, and networks.
