A commentary and resource on Law and Sexuality by Professor Chris Ashford and guests
Coinciding with LGBT History Month, LAGLA NE are hosting a panel discussion on 24 February at Newcastle Law School, entitled: “LGBT Equality in the Legal Profession: Learning from the Past”.
All legal professionals and students are welcome to attend, it will be focusing on the history and future of LGBT equality within the legal profession; what does the current culture mean for LGBT legal professionals and what else should be done, if anything, to improve LGBT equality within the profession?
Their panellists are: Cris McCurley of Ben Hoare Bell, Cliff Veitch of David Gray LLP, Neil Jones of New Park Court Chambers, Katherine Henderson an Immigration Judge of the First-tier Tribunal of the Immigration and Asylum Chamber and Prof. Chris Ashford of Northumbria Law School.
There will also be a wine reception before and after the discussion with a chance to network.
