Attention in the States turns to the Vice Presidential debate this evening. It’s unlikely to get anything like the record-breaking viewing figures that the Trump v Clinton first debate got, but the Trump campaign are probably hoping it helps them to move on from the string off gaffs that have characterised the last few weeks for their campaign, and halts their plunging poll numbers.
For UK readers, Governor Mike Pence is the VP candidate for Trump and Republicans, whilst Senator Tim Kaine is the Clinton Democrat candidate for VP.
It’s perhaps easy to mistake these two sober guys as sedatives given human form, but the Human Rights Campaign has rightly pointed to their record on LBTQ rights. It’s well worth checking out the diagram below and making up your own mind.
