Law and Sexuality

A commentary and resource on Law and Sexuality by Professor Chris Ashford and guests

The story of how gay sex was decriminalised in Britain

My first piece for The Conversation appeared today.  It’s one of their new ‘long  read’ pieces so is rather longer than what they normally publish, and it kicks off a week of articles on the site from various academics talking about LGBT issues, celebrating fifty years since the Sexual Offences Act 1967 was passed.

My article explores how the ’67 Act was passed, it’s legacy, and asks “where next?”.  Check it out here.
